One-on-one mentorship is a widely embraced mentoring style. In this system, a more experienced and knowledgeable Muslim, who has engaged with the Quran and Sunnah, supports a relatively new or newly practicing Muslim. They share basic beneficial knowledge about Islam, insights, wisdom, life skills, and assistance, while striving to contribute to the deen of Allah SWT and to embody the sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him). The mentee benefits from having a reliable, knowledgeable, compassionate, and committed guide to help navigate their journey as a new Muslim and tackle any challenges they may encounter.

The system of Muaakhaat (bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood in faith) is a sunnah (a blessed practice of the Prophet SAW). During a critical period in Islamic history, this system was used to pair the Muhajirun (the Migrants, who immigrated from Makkah) with the Ansaar (the Helpers, residents of Madinah), creating deep bonds of Islamic brotherhood and family-like relationships. This provided a strong support system to integrate the migrants into the new society and to ensure their well-being. It also eradicated tribal divisions and fostered a sense of unity and collective responsibility. We strive to follow this sunnah which demonstrates the practical application of the Quran's instruction to support one another and for all Muslims to be united as a single community.
